We had previously used analogue baby monitors and sometimes it was struggle to tell whether the baby was making any noise through all the static. It took us a few minutes to get the camera to register but once it did we could immediately see a crystal clear picture of our baby. Previously we had been quite skeptical about the “interference free” claim but this baby video monitor has lived up to it’s word and we haven’t had any problems at all.

You can add a camera to the system and this will be great when our second baby arrives in 5 months time. The system is very easy to use and quite simply has fulfilled it’s job to our complete satisfaction. We would highly recommend this Baby Monitor to anyone looking for a straightforward hassle free bay monitoring system.

Previously we had been catching pictures of our neighbour’s baby but all that has stopped now we have gone digital.

We have had about 4 monitor systems in the past 3 years. our son has special needs and also sometimes has to use breathing equipment. This monitor is so great we can actually see the numbers on the equipment. This has been a real boon to wife who finally is relaxing enough to get somewhere near a good night’s sleep. The monitor is also a nice modern looking piece of equipment which is nice whilst not vital..

We have had absolutely NO interference with this baby video monitor and we have a couple of iPhones and also run two wifi routers in our house as I work from home these days so you could say we have really tested it’s resistence to interference and it has passed the test with flying colors.

It’s great to instantly know whether our son has actually got a problem or has just been disturbed a little in his sleep. One slight thing that bothers us is that the monitor or receiver can only be plugged in and has no battery option but we have learned to manage and the otherwise excellent performance makes this a small inconvenience in fairness..

Lindam Clarity Digital Video Monitor (UK)

This model was improved in July 2009. Prior to that it had some audio problems. The picture quality is fine and the sound problems seem to have been sorted out. Unfortunately the night vision wasn’t up to what we had expected and to be honest we have seen better for very similar money.

It only improved somewhat when we had the light in the room on which rather defeats the object. Another thing that didn’t impress us was there is no strap or belt clip for the monitor which is pretty essential if you want to do household chores etc during the day whilst your baby’s sleeping.

Positioning of the camera was also tricky and the little wire they provided was really inadequate to be honest. The lullaby function was quite nice to it need to have a volume function as the one setting for this is pretty loud and would probably hinder the baby from trying to get to sleep. I have to admit we returned this unit and got a better Safety 1st camera and monitor.

Fisher-Price Mom Response Video Baby Monitor (USA)

This Fisher Price baby monitor is very reliable and we are very happy with it. We read some positive reviews elsewhere are this is what prompted us to buy the Fisher Price. The picture quality is fine although it’s in black and white in night mode, but then aren’t they all?

Overall we would say this Video Baby Monitor is very good value for money and probably would have given it an even more glowing review but for the battery life being quite poor to be honest. Even after a full days charge whilst we were out and about it will only give about two hours service before dying.

Make sure if you are relying on this unit you have it running from the mains.

Digital Wireless Rechargeable Video Baby Monitor by First Alert (UK)

We previously bought two (other make) baby video monitors and neither worked properly. I don’t know whether they were faulty or just not very good. Anyway we were determined that this was a necessity for our baby son so we bought the Digital Wireless Video Baby Monitor (Rechargeable) by First Alert. We are glad we bought this one and so far it’s doing a fine job.

The audio and video are both very clear in both day and night mode (black and white). We found that you can in fact turn off the video by pressing a button on the side of the monitor and it will work in just audio mode until the baby makes a noise when the monitor will switch itself back on. If all goes quiet then it will switch itself off again after about 30 seconds.

Most of the time though we leave the video on as basically I think that’s the whole point of the digital baby monitor. Anyway it’s a very good product and highly recommended.

We have a handicapped son with many complex medical issues so we are frequent buyers of this type of video monitor device. After setting it up we were pleasantly surprised be the sound and picture quality. The large LCD display unit we keep static in our bedroom so we can monitor him at night. It’s across the room from our bed so the larger screen is really handy and gives us a clear picture of our son all night.

The portable unit is the one that travels around our house and comes equipped with a rechargeable battery which seems to have a very good charge retention. There is sometimes a little static but it’s easy to resolve this by just moving the monitor slightly. The baby video monitor seems unaffected by the wireless router and cordless phones in the house so that was a relief to be honest. If you want to you can hook up the hand-held device to your TV which is very convenient in the evening.

You just change the TV channel for an instant large picture of your baby or child. If you want to you can also have the option of sound, picture, or BOTH which is very handy sometimes.

Video Monitor with 7″ LCD Screen (USA)

We are extremely pleased with the monitor. It is much better than we expected it to be. You might find the odd place in your home where the reception isn’t as good as you’d like but if you just move it a little sometimes you can get a decent picture just about anywhere. We actually use tape to secure the camera as it saves having to use screws and damage the crib..

There is some interference with the wireless phone we have but most of the time you’re not on the phone so its fine 95% of the time. We have two little girls and we found we can have the camera up to 10 feet away from our babies for a wider picture and the quality is unaffected. This will be very handy as the babies grow and start to move around more.

Apart from the slight interference problem when using the phone overall this baby video monitor works very well and we are glad we purchased this particular monitor.
