Kiddopotamus Securesleep Handheld Color Video MonitorWe had had to return a Summer Infant Baby Monitor because unfortunately our house is made of stone and the signal just wasn’t strong enough to be really effective for us. We were advised to try the Kiddopotamus Securesleep and we have been delighted with the performance of it. It reall does offer us the complete monitoring that we need and the picture and sound are of very good quality indeed. The belt clip is extremely hand as it means I can get on with the housework and have both hands free. The rechargeable battery lasts throught the night although we do mainly use it from the mains. But the battery is always there incase of a possible power cut. The picture at night is in Black and white but I understand that most of these units are the same. The picture is still plenty good enough even when the baby’s romm is completely darkened. Very PLEASED overall.

John Ogden, Toronto.

Binatone BM500 Video Baby MonitorWe needed a video baby monitor so we could easier keep an eye on our Daughter who is seven years old but has special needs.  We already have Binatone Cordless phones at home and we’re happy with them so we thought we were on to a good thing with this monitor. We like the fact that this monitor system is not designed to be overly “babyish” and it looks quite at home in an older child’s or adult’s room. The quality of the performance is outstanding and we have had no problems at all. The screen is crystal clear and sound quality couldn’t be any better.

The room where the camera is can be pitch dark so that a person wouldn’t be able to even see the bed but the monitor in the living room (or any other room) can see every detail. We are over the moon with this system and highly recommend it. A thoughtful feature is the temperature monitor which assures you that the temperature in the room is always satisfactory. The lullaby feature is also a very good idea although we don’t use it as of course our daughter is a little beyond lullabies but for people with young babies it would be great!

Summer Infant Secure Sounds Digital Handheld Color Video Monitor 1.8" Screen (with Remote Crib Soother)We didn’t have much knowledge on these monitors so anyway we started of with the Summer Infant Color Video Monitor (Hand Held) 02100A with a 2.5 inch screen last year.. The bad news was there were only two channels to choose from and both of them had quite a bit of interference and we were constantly having to re-position the receiver to get the picture and audio clearer. The security on this monitor was very poor too. I think it’s probably not digital so we cold actually see two other babies in our neighborhood and this was a bit disconcerting so we ended up returning this system.

The Secure Sounds Digital which we bought next advertises NO interference and I’m delighted to say we have found this to be the case. There is no static or hum with this monitor (and I can’t tell you how annoying that can be when you’re trying to sleep at night!) and we can actually still get a good video and audio signal as far as a block away from our house! The screen is slightly smaller than the original but the picture is nice and crisp so it’s not a problem. You wouldn’t exactly say it’s “HD” quality but you can clearly see all the detail even at night when it’s purely black and white. Even during the day the colors are a bit faded but that’s not a problem for us. The only thing that matters is we can see and heard our baby very clearly from anywhere in the house.

The crib soother is a nice addition and you have several different noise options varying from 3 lullabies, a couple of nature sounds and even a couple of different vibrations which we have found to be VERY effective.

Paul Smithson – Texas.

Summer-Infant-Digital-Handheld-Colour-Video-MonitorFor parents of young children and babies then a baby video monitor is pretty much an essential purchase. We bought this one three months ago and to be honest it’s been ok. It’s very easy to use and practically plug and play to setup (we’re not techies) so we were working with it straight out of the box. There are only 3 channels to choose from and so far this hasn’t given us any problems but there again we aren’t very advanced in our house and there are no other wireless products to cause interference.

The picture at night seems to be in black and white and does get a bit grainy depending on where else you are in the house with the receiver. It does come with a rechargeable battery and the charge does seem to last through the night with no problems.

Overall we have no real complaints. It gives us a feeling of security that should anything go seriously wrong with our baby when we aren’t in the same room we can now respond virtually instantly. This is very good for the peace of mind you need if you’re going to get any sleep.

Summer Infant 02100 2.5 inch Color Hand Held Video Monitor with Extra Camera This is the first one of these baby monitors we have invested in. With this system you can keep your baby happy, safe and secure. The Summer Infant Color Hand Held Video Monitor isn’t the cheapest on the market but we don’t care about that because the thing does exactly what is says on the box and after reading lots of reviews out there we realize that lots of these monitors simply aren’t very good or have range problems or interference problems.

That hasn’t been our experience with this monitor system and the beauty of it is it comes with an extra Summer Infant 02100 camera, We can look after our baby in any room we choose which is really handy. We have found this ito be the perfect baby monitoring system for any parent who cares about keeping their children secure and safe especially when you aren’t with them..

Margaret Simpson, Utah.

* 900 MHz technology gives brilliant clarity and long range
* Night vision allows parent to see baby in a completely dark room

Summer Infant Secure Sounds Digital Handheld Colour Video Monitor See larger image Share your own customer images Summer Infant Secure Sounds Digital Handheld Colour Video Monitor This is by far the best digital baby monitor we have seen and we highly recommend it to anybody who needs to be able to monitor their children reliably. Having had 5 children over 10 years we started with a big old clunky audio monitor and fair enough it did what it said on the box. We used to run a pub and it also doubled as an intercom between the kitchen and the bar!

It couldn’t complete with the Summer Infant though.. The picture is awesome and the range is so good you can even see the child from next door’s house! (Not that I’d encourage anybody to leave their baby in the house on their own of course but we just tested the monitor this way to see how good it was..)

We have had this monitor since December 2008 and have no reliability problems whatsoever.

Sassy Web Watch iC Internet Video MonitorWe have received two completely contrasting reviews for this particular baby monitor so we’re including both as obviously we have to remain unbiased. We suggest you click the product picture or product link underneath these reviews to get more information.

BABY Monitor Review 1
This baby video monitor has never worked properly from out of the box. We couldn’t get the camera to turn on at all when using batteries and when connected to the mains it only stayed on for 10 seconds. All tech support said was “Take it back to the shop and get a new one.” as they probably didn’t have enough parts to fix the original. We never even got to trying the internet part so can’t comment on that..

BABY Monitor Review 2
We tried 3 other brands of baby monitor and the Sassy Web Watch iC has by far the best range. The picture angle of the camera is really wide and the clarity and color is superb. Connecting to the computer for internet broadcasting was really simple – plug and play.. We did find the Skype Web Viewer difficult to figure out and the battery life in the monitor wasn’t great but we just plugged it into the mains.
