Graco imonitor Digital Color Video Baby MonitorWe bought two baby monitors to test against each other. We had to do this separately as the two systems interfered with each other (which we thought was a bad sign for both of them..). The other one was a Summer Infant Day & Night Handheld Color video hand-held monitor 1.8″. This proved to have superior color display as the Graco didn’t really show true color even in bright conditions..

The range of the Summer Infant was about twice that of the Graco as well. There were no interference problems with either monitor and in truth the Graco performed adequately but we preferred the Summer Infant. I understand that Graco have since upgraded their monitor so maybe it performs better now.

I did read somewhere that the new monitor has more pixels per screen and the picture quality is far better because of this and I must admit it has a vibrate mode which you would think they could ALL employ. After all this technology has been in all cell phones for a while so it shouldn’t be too hard to include in a portable baby monitor. It does feature a handy belt clip as well..
